Terms of Service

Welcome to Laundry Express Japan. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our laundry pickup and delivery services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
Laundry Express Japan provides laundry pickup, washing, drying, folding, and delivery services primarily for travelers staying in Tokyo. Our services include:
- Regular laundry (wash, dry, and fold)
- Sneaker cleaning
- Hotel pickup and delivery
2. Service Area
Our services are currently available within Tokyo's 23 special wards. We reserve the right to decline service to locations outside our service area.
3. Booking and Payment
3.1 Booking
Bookings can be made through our website or via WhatsApp. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
3.2 Payment
- Payment is required at the time of booking
- We accept major credit cards through Stripe
- All prices are listed in Japanese Yen (JPY) and include consumption tax
- Prices include pickup, cleaning, and delivery within our service area
4. Pickup and Delivery
4.1 Pickup
- Items must be ready at the scheduled pickup time
- Items can be left at the hotel front desk or handed directly to our driver
- We are not responsible for items left in inappropriate locations
4.2 Delivery
- Standard delivery is same-day for orders placed before 11:00 AM
- Orders placed after 11:00 AM will be delivered the following day
- We will attempt delivery to your hotel front desk or specified location
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Cancellation by Customer
- More than 24 hours before pickup: Full refund
- Less than 24 hours before pickup: 50% refund
- After pickup: No refund
5.2 Cancellation by Laundry Express Japan
If we cancel your order for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
6. Item Guidelines
6.1 Accepted Items
- Everyday clothing (t-shirts, pants, underwear, socks)
- Light jackets and sweaters
- Sneakers and casual shoes
6.2 Items We Cannot Accept
- Formal wear requiring dry cleaning
- Leather or suede items
- Items with excessive stains or damage
- Items with hazardous materials
- Items requiring special care not disclosed at booking
7. Care Instructions
We follow standard washing procedures using eco-friendly detergents. Please inform us of any special care requirements at the time of booking. We are not responsible for damage to items that:
- Have undisclosed special care requirements
- Are already damaged or worn
- Are not suitable for standard washing
8. Liability and Insurance
8.1 Item Coverage
All items in our care are covered up to ¥50,000 per bag against loss or damage caused by our negligence.
8.2 Limitations
We are not liable for:
- Normal wear and tear
- Color fading from standard washing
- Pre-existing damage or defects
- Items left in pockets
- Damage to items with undisclosed special care needs
- Consequential or indirect damages
9. Claims
Any claims for lost or damaged items must be made within 48 hours of delivery. Claims should be submitted via email with photos and description of the issue.
10. Weight Limits
- Regular Laundry: Up to 2kg per bag
- Large Load: Up to 3kg per bag
- Items exceeding weight limits may incur additional charges
11. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue our services at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of significant changes.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Laundry Express Japan and is protected by copyright laws.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
